This place is a great hostel and a GREAT jumping off point for Mt.Hood. We had lots of space and there was a great breakfast in the morning. The hosts are wonderful and the view is great. If you had a large group this would be a great place. Highly recommended.

The place was great and priced very well. The hosts are excellent and we would definitely stay at the Hood River Hostel again! It is furnished more like a bed and breakfast then a hotel. Quiche, muffins, yogurt, granola, fruits, juice, coffee and more.

The rooms were spacious and fully furnished with clean beds, plenty of towels, linens and a sink. The place had multiple bathrooms and shower where were all very clean. It even had a play area for kids.

The outdoor patio is amazing with awesome view of the gorge and Mt. Adams. It was perfect for having breakfast outside in the morning.

It’s in a great, tucked away location from the main street in Hood River. It has a Safeway, Dairy Queen and Walmart within walking distance. Perfect if you want to grab drinks or snacks to take back to the room. Downtown Hood River is only a 2 minute drive/15 minute walk so its very convenient and centrally located. We definitely will recommend this place to others. Great for big groups.

I’ve stayed in several hostels in many countries and this one was very “American”. This is a good place that caters to all the comforts for a traveler. These “mom and pop” owners are busting their butts to give their guests a communal experience. The coffee is superb and breakfast is much more than any hostle I’ve seen. The place is Spick ‘n Span, Clean white crisp sheets, Washcloths, Towels, Showers, Bathrooms all Hospital Clean. I hope their future guests appreciate the service that is extended by this place.

Such a cool place, and such a great deal. Right outside town, easy access to the freeway and food options. I had a super cozy bed in the women’s dorm, which I also had to myself, lucky me. Continental breakfast and coffee in the morning got me going, and Tim had all kinds of good intel about the area. Definitely recommend!

We arrived a little early and Tim was more than accommodating. Showed me around. The place is very clean. The breakfast in the morning had a lot of variety for everyone. The eggs and homemade granola was fabulous. I slept very well. The area felt safe for my and my daughters. The nice large patio provides excellent views of Mt Adams. I was very impressed.

Staying at this hostel was fantastic. The hosts were warm and welcoming from beginning to end. The hostel was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfy. The atmosphere was fun. In the early morning I got up, drank water, and did some light yoga on the patio as the sun rose. It was quiet and beautiful. Coffee was waiting in the very pretty breakfast room. So were boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, pastries of all sorts, and fresh fruit (I think the plums were picked from the property). Then the host, she brought out homemade scrambled eggs and homemade granola. Delicious and outstanding. No complaints at all. My sister and I stayed here over my birthday weekend, and we were close to everything Hood River has to offer. I definitely recommend this place.
